Attitude check

There are days when I swear I will never have kids, today is definitly one of those days. Why would God give me this job if it is making me think thoughts like that? Don't know if I'll ever know that.

Trying to be content...harder sometimes than others

A simple enough pleasure, surely, to have breakfast alone with one's husband,
but how seldom married people in the midst of life achieve it.
-Anne Morrow Lindbergh

Maybe it's dumb to start with a quote but I heard something like that once and that idea is the premise to the following random yet orderly thoughts! You know how it is when you are at a certain stage in life and you look at people who are at a totally different stage and see what you enjoy about what they have and vise versa (i.e. being single and looking at the lives of married friends)?? I think I do that alot. I think alot as I am laying in bed every night and thoughts along those lines pop into my head quite often I have to admit. I'll think about the picture perfect sunset I saw on the beach, or the perfect stars and think about how nice it'd be to share that with someone. I know in a way it sounds a little corney to me too but stuff like that seems like it is meant to be shared. So rather than allowing my jealousy or depression to surface, I just make a list of that stuff that I think of so Lord willing, someday I'll remember all the stuff I wanted to do again and be able to share it with someone. And ALSO, so I can remember to tell my married friends to enjoy what they have and not take it for granted, not that they do take it for granted but we all tend to get 'used' to things too quickly.

Now I am told by a certain friend who happens to be married that she can argue that there are pleanty of things she thinks of in the same way I do, but sees how they are better enjoyed by a single person. Not that she would change her mind if she had the choice and choose to be single again, just that...(incomplete thought/mind blank, I know. Hopefully you follow anyway). So if she well pleases, I would enjoy hearing her list of things when she comes up with it! I really tried not to sound depressing, because I don't feel that way. It's just hard to not think about someday having that kind of love in your life like I'm reading about in my book right now, or watching in that cute movie, or hearing about in that song...haha maybe it's too late at night to be bearing my heart out on the computer, I'm sure I'll read this in the morning and wonder what I was thinking! Oh well, we shall each learn to praise the Lord for where we are and pray really hard that someday our prince will come.

Poor Man's OnStar

So I heard this on the radio tonight...if you lock your keys in your car all you have to do is call someone at home who has your spare set, w/ remote unlocker, have them hold the remote up to the phone and press the unlock button as you put your cell phone up to the door of your car and it unlocks! The guy on the radio tried it to his car and it worked for him, I ran outside a ways away from my car and tried it to my car with my sisters phone holding help and it worked (but I'm not convinced until I try it from at least a couple miles away!) I guess for some remote systems it works and for some it doesn't Depends on the strength of your signal or if the two signals are on the same wave....I don't know exactly but I could not believe that it actually works for some people, I thought for sure that would be a total myth! Try it! Does it work for you?

Sidenote: I may have finally made a decision on college! And I am really excited=) I'm just praying I can talk Jen into moving back here and going to school with me;)

Tigers Game

Here's a couple pictures I took with my phone. We won 6-0 and I even learned a little bit about baseball! It was pretty fun (even though I maybe saw half the game inbetween food/bathroom runs) but hey, that's all a part of the experience of going to the ballpark:-) Afterward, there were fireworks that I wasn't too excited about because it was late and we had to drive back home but I am so glad I stayed for those! They were SO good! I wish I would have thought to take video of my favorite ones so I could put it on here. They looked like huge buckets of glitter exploding hundreds of feet in the air, and they had alot of them! They rocked my socks off:)

The Tonight Show

For some reason the "Tonight Show" was on at our house this evening and they were playing this clip called "Pumpcast News." We were laughing SOO hard! I think there are a couple on this page, PLUS I was watching a few other clips on here called the "Phoney photo booth," and was just cracking up. Reminds me of Spike and MoJo in the morning:)
