Sometimes my job can be pretty sweet... when I forget how little I am getting paid ;-) I just am so grateful to be where I am right now, I'm constantly gaining new knowledge and experiencing new things that I would never experience otherwise. I've had the opportunity to meet many interesting small business owners as well as local 'celebrities.' I've learned about everything from powder coating to roses. Today we were once again at a local urban farm whose mission is to provide skills and opportunities to at-risk youth and adults in the area. They have an amazing program in that, as well as growing and selling delicious produce and absolutely beautiful rose bushes. After the interview they gave the host and I each a bunch of cut roses to take home, they are gorgeous and smell wonderful. It's just really exciting to work in an environment that changes from day to day and we're always around new people and scenes. As you may have seen on Facebook, last week I had the opportunity to meet Jared Fogle of the Subway commercials and next week we are doing a segment promoting the local air show and I am told we may make it an 'in air' interview. Crazy! Anyways, it's pretty cool, I'll have gained so much from this job that I could never have learned on my own and I will always be thankful for that!

still learning
there are two phrases that i've come across this week that have rocked me...
{humbly, distinctly, different}
in the context of being a christian female and my actions directly causing a brother to lust. to sin. i am called to give up fleshly desires. i am called to be humbly, distinctly, different.
{every fear has no place at the sound of your great name}
every day i act as though each fear is a legitimate excuse. but truly, they have no place.
