Unordinary

Asking God that your life not be ordinary is legit. Like totally a big deal.

Yesterday you thought that your 'unordinary' meant saying temporary goodbyes to friends and family, elderly parents and sweet grand children, and moving your life to Kazakhstan. It's then that you receive news that 'unordinary' is something way deeper, something you don't know you will be able to handle. But then again, did you think you could handle moving to another country?

Yesterday you were becoming okay with your 'unordinary' and we learned to call it trust. Today though, today you bring your ordinarily healthy self to the doctor for a painful stomach and hours later wake up from surgery to hear the word 'cancer'. They tell you that It's spread much further than the test that morning concluded. They say a number and your heart drops, it's hard to breath. Stage four.

So this is the new 'unordinary'. But only new to you. God already knew. He has great plans for this 'unordinary' life of yours and through tears I pray, as I'm sure you are as well, that this 'unordinary' life would only show the world an extra-ordinary God. Because that's the 'unordinary' you sought in the first place, wasn't it?

Praying for you, my friend. Thank you for living a life that isn't quite ordinary.
