so quite in tune with my character, i was eating breakfast the other morning and started feeling very strongly about a particular interest i've caught onto recently - nutrition and how our bodies were created to function; with a focus on organic, preservative free, non-gmo foods. i have no idea exactly how i could turn this interest into a career, but it's something that i at least want to look a little more into. here are a couple struggles i have with this choice right off the bat,
- i tend to enjoy things that have black and white, blanket answers and this seems to be something that will be different for every body and/or lifestyle
- i struggle with how hard core i would want to delve into something like this because of time, materials, expense, practicality...
- i would do all of this for health reasons of course, doing my best to prevent diseases that are so common in our world today (most probably a direct result of what we are putting into our bodies). i know this reason might sound strange, but a thought that often crosses my mind when i compare my few healthy habits to those of someone quite the opposite is, 'what's to say that despite all my hard work, i die in a car accident or still get a life threatening illness, and they make it into their 90's still smokin' and eating a big mac per day?'
- there are no guarantees. and i like guarantees
of course there is also financial advising... probably my most constant 'what i want to be when i grow up'. at least until tomorrow ;-)
