3 your adornment must not be merely external-braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; 4 but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.i created a 'subway print' of this verse for our bathroom in the new apartment but i didn't see this version until afterward. i think this line is so beautifully stated, '...the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit...'. i believe that all women are created with this spirit that reflects our maker - we then have the choice to strengthen it or squash it. if this is what is beautiful to him, i hope that we will daily be making decisions that will strengthen this lovely spirit that is oh so precious in his sight.
